Once home to Russian exile Prince Paul Troubetsky, a well-known turn-of-the-century painter and man-about-town, this 1848 Greek Revival-style mansion was the site for a Holiday Designer Show House benefiting the Douglaston & Little Neck Historical Society. The interiors we were charged with creating imagine what Troubetsky’s private rooms might have been—the map-and-model room connected ensuite to his bedroom along with the second floor hallway leading to both.
